Excel provides context help via the "Office Assistant" tool. The Office Assistant Tool is called in by clicking the help button (marked ?) on the menu bar. The characteristic Icon shown to the left then appears on the screen. It is able to check what task the user is about to perform, and to offer specialized help for the task in question.
In addition, there is help available in the traditional form of an index with links to the appropriate help panel on any topic concerning Excel.
