Followup to previous install test, after trying suggestion from James.
Bottom line: is python2.5 required for basin remote?
[insert in previous report, after basin_start.sh failed]
TRY AGAIN 1/16/08
run export as before to set paths
also execute (this instruction now on the web page)
export PATH=/home/vogeley/bin/basin/bin:$PATH
so it can find
/home/vogeley/bin/basin/bin/ipcontroller
scripts/basin_start.sh -n 2 -p 10105
yields error messages

emerge --pretend python
These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

[ebuild N ] app-admin/python-updater-0.2
