All,
I was wondering about how much simpler it will be if we also have binary
distributions of, say, the kernel and server packages for BASIN.
Chatting with James, it seems like ipython dynamically links everything, but I
could imagine, for example, that the kernel could be distributed as just as a
static library (plus a few makefiles and the like), and the only required
external package a user would need is mpich. True? What about the server?
It would be very nice if the folks at scipy could give BASIN a try without 3
hours of compile time first.
