BASIN weekly update

This week my primary focus was on the neptune computer working for
partiview deomstrations.

We have sucessfully set up partiview in stereo mode using the nvidia
card. The second nvidia card came in on thursday afternoon, but does
not work at the same time as the dual headed nvidia card. This seems to
be a driver issue. If both cards are plugged in, Xorg attempts to load
the stereo card (card0), then the desktop card (card1). The driver
fails to find the device for the stereo card, but does find the device
for the desktop card. This may have to do with /dev/nvidia nodes,
further investigation is necessary.

Preliminary cleaning has been done in 614. The trash needs to be taken
out after Professor McMillan salvages some packing material, and the
scaffolding is still present. I put all packing slips, spare parts, and
manuals into a motherboard box that is on the shelves to the left of the
projector.

I tested the partiview server/client that Anthony had on thursday. It
was not basin connected, but had good preliminary results on neptune.

In the begining of the week I checked in some modifications to basin to
make sure it compiles on neptune.
